Stone Supermart of Florida, Inc. was established January, 4th 2004. Our shop has the combination of an experienced management team coupled with state of the art fabrication equipment, giving SSF the ability to produce unsurpassed quality stone work with the shortest lead times in the industry. SSF spacious 22,000 Sq. Ft. facility allows for both fabrication and inside storage of all of our stock colors. This facility was designed to produce 5 standard kitchens per day, per shift, with provisions to double our size as needed. Bridge saw: The Bridge saw is a laser guided, computer controlled saw and is capable of sawing 10 ft. of 3cm granite in 90 seconds. The saw table tilts for easy loading of material minimizing material damage found in other shops. The fully rotational table allows for quick and accurate angle cuts.
Our shop personnel as well as our install crews are all trained in house, and we do not use any subcontractors. That is how we can maintain our high level of quality as well as our amazing 7 to 10 day lead-time. Having consulted on four facilities and built three just in the state of Florida there is no project to large or job that we cannot complete in the time specified. Our relationship with the other shops allows us to use their capabilities when we need them as well as they use ours. Since all the shops are computerized we can e-mail file drawings to have jobs fabricated and shipped within 5 days still maintaining our 7 to 10 day turn around.
We can handle all of your stone needs any ware in the state with shops in Destin, Palm Bay, Daytona, and Tampa at the present time. We are scheduled to open up a total of five more facilities in the next four years. Locations in Naples, Orlando, Jacksonville, Pensacola, and St. Petersburg are tentative at this time.
Stage two will incorporate new equipment to double the capabilities and capacity.
CNC: The CNC allows for precision cutting and edge styling of complex countertop configurations and undermount sinks as well as complicated edge styles. LCT: The LCT is a high volume edge profiler for convex edge styles. It's profiling wheels and articulating polishing heads allows for precision profile fabrication on straight pieces at the rate of 50 ft. per hour. LCV: The LCV is the workhorse of the shop. It produces high quality flat polishing at the rate of 100 ft. per hour. DEP: The shop is designed to minimize dust. 99% of all fabrication is done with water. The DEP is an environmentally friendly water reclamation system. The DEP features a flocculent injection system. This process precipitates the granite particles from the water allowing the water to be reused for the equipment. Dust Control: our state of the art dust control system allows for a clean dust free work place. That is one of the reasons that we can allow customers to tour our facility. Mr. Laymons bring 20 years of experience to the corporation. As the owner of Stone Supermart of Michigan, Mr. Laymons has consulted as an industry expert across the United States. He has been the primary consultant for the design and initial setup of over 15 granite fabrication shops. He has also worked for established shops as an efficiency consultant.
James Skinner: General Manager
Mr. Skinner brings 25 years of manufacturing experience to the corporation. Is in depth knowledge of inventory control, quality control, and fabrication process allows for fast and accurate fabrication of the most complex of jobs.
Ed Vickers: Production/Shop Manager
Mr. Vickers brings 15 years of management experience to the corporation. In his last position Mr. Vickers was responsible for the resolution of all installation issues. The combination of his management style and industry expertise gives SSF unsurpassed customer satisfaction.
